Option 1. Using the Spotify Web Player

The most straightforward method to enjoy Spotify on your Chromebook is by utilizing the Spotify Web Player. Simply go to open.spotify.com in your Chromebook browser. You’ll be asked to sign in to your Spotify account. After successfully logging in, you can effortlessly explore and enjoy your preferred songs, albums, and playlists directly from your browser.

Option 2. Install Spotify app

1. Install Spotify on Chromebook from Google Play

Chromebook supports installing Android apps, so you can install Spotify Android app on Chromebook for the capability to download tracks on your computer and experience enhanced audio quality.

2. Install Spotify on Chromebook from Linux

If your Chromebook supports Linux, you can also install Spotify for Linux version on your Chromebook. To check if your Chromebook support Linux, click on the time > Settings > Advanced > Developers, you should see “Linux development environment”. Turn it on. Find Terminal in your apps, open it, then follow below instructions.

Option 1. Install on Ubuntu

Go to Spotify in Ubuntu Software and click install. If the link doesn’t work, open Ubuntu Software and search for Spotify.

Option 2. Install via Snap

If you don’t have access or don’t want to use Ubuntu Software, it is possible to install Spotify from the command line with snap. Run the following command in your terminal:

snap install spotify

Option 3. Debian / Ubuntu

You will first need to configure our debian repository:
